Fairs & Exhibitions Insurance Program
A
direct benefit to fairs and exhibitions which are members of the B.C.
Association of Agricultural Fairs & Exhibitions.
Evaluation Program
An in-depth evaluation
program conducted by trained evaluators allows fairs and exhibitions to improve
their standards of performance while promoting agriculture in an entertaining
and educational way.
Annual Convention
Our annual convention is an
opportunity for fairs and service/associate members to come together to network,
exchange information and learn from the educational programs offered.
Fair Schedule
17,000 copies are printed and
distributed at the end of January. It lists valuable information such as fair
dates, contacts and phone numbers for our visitors and the service industry at
large. The schedule information is also included on the BCAAFE web site.
Livewire
This quarterly newsletter is filled with industry related
information and is our communication tool within the industry.
Partnerships
BCAAFE develops partnerships with
such organizations as AgAware, 4-H, Ag In The Classroom, etc. which benefit
all.
Resource Library
A BCAAFE resource library has been developed and
catalogued for the use of fairs. It is updated regularly and contains such items
as slides, operations manuals, presentations, video tapes etc.
Web Site
A web-site has been developed to help
market our fair industry in BC and beyond. Fairs who have a web page can link to
the association's web-site. This source of modern technology offers a great
opportunity to everyone.
Workshop and Sessions
BCAAFE has and will
continue to orchestrate workshops and seminars for training and development of
volunteers and staff throughout the province.
Represents
BCAAFE represents fairs in BC at the
national and international level. Knowledge and resources gained is shared with
all. The association supports the national body (CAFE) in lobbying the federal
government to keep issues such as SOCAN (music copy right) rates reasonable.
Funding and Projects
BCAAFE researches ongoing
funding and project opportunities, in which member fairs will share the
benefits.
Management Services
The BCAAFE full time office
under the direction of the Executive Director offers support to all fairs and
exhibitions. The directors, for a nominal fee, will assist individual fairs in
matters such as, ground layouts, constitution and bylaws, financial procedures
etc.
